Combination Classes in Tap/Ballet/Acrobats are structured for the younger student and teach basic tap steps, which
are incorporated into a choreographed song and dance routine.

Students are also given an introduction to basic ballet, creative movement, and basic acrobats, starting with forward rolls and cartwheels.

This is a fun class where children can begin developing their dance and performance skills. Students will learn a dance routine for performance in shows, the San Diego County fair, and the Annual Academy of Dance Arts recital.

Combinations Classes in Tap, Ballet, & Jazz will focus on tap technique and tap choreography and introduce the student to ballet technique, jazz technique and jazz choreography. Students will learn a tap dance set to age appropriate music for performance in shows, the San Diego County fair, and the Annual Academy of Dance Arts recital. Students will also learn jazz combinations set to age appropriate music.

Ballet Classes will focus on ballet technique for the main purpose of enhancing the student's overall dance form. Ballet class is recommended for all students and is required for all competition level jazz students and all lyrical students.

Lyrical will focus on both ballet and jazz choreography set to contemporary music. There will be a great deal of emphasis on the emotional level of dance and on the student's performance quality.

The Jazz Technique Classes will specifically focus on the needs of the competition level jazz student. They will work on only technique through December. In January they will continue working on technique but will also begin working on a dance to be performed in the the Annual Academy of Dance Arts recital.

The Jazz Classes will introduce the student to both the technical side of jazz and the performance side. Students will be taught a jazz dance to age appropriate music for performance in shows, the San Diego County fair, and the Annual Academy of Dance Arts recital.
